Stephen Duku, a 22-year-old second-year Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) student, was killed by a train in Nkotompo, a suburb of Sekondi in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
“Around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, I received a call and was informed that someone had been hit by a train, I rushed to the scene and was shocked to realize who it was,” said an eye witness who is also a friend of the deceased.
The deceased had a hearing condition, according to the witness, so he may not have heard the train approaching.
The remains of Stephen has already been transported to the mortuary for preservation by the Marine Police, according to him.
