In the Oti Region, seven (7) junior high school students who were scheduled to take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) have died.
The children died when their boat capsized in the Oti Region, according to reports.
When the boat capsized, the students, who were around 31 years old, were returning from the headmaster’s property.
Twenty people were able to swim over and are claimed to be in good health.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the police station, according to the report. The other twenty pupils who were able to swim to safety are stated to be in good health.
