The FDA has Approved a Pfizer Vaccination for 15 to 17-year-olds.


The Food and Drugs Administration has granted permission for the Pfizer vaccine to be administered to youngsters aged 15 to 17.

Dr Patrick Kumah Aboagye, Director of the Ghana Health Service, claimed that this breakthrough will assist Ghana in achieving optimal herd immunity because people in this age bracket constitute the active section of the country’s population.

“This is really crucial news for us since the young people in that age bracket are the most active group for us,” he added.

He also stated that this will assist prevent school outbreaks, particularly among students, as well as transmission to adults.

So far, around 836,000 adults in Ghana have been immunized against the corona virus.
