Today, the Finance Minister presents the Budget for 2022

The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, is expected to submit the government’s Budget Statement and Economic Policy for the year 2022 in parliament today, Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
In accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 constitution, this will be the Akufo-Addo administration’s sixth budget.
With bated breath, many people await the unveiling of the 2022 budget.

The business sector and other stakeholders have offered their opinions on what they want the budget to focus on during the last few weeks.
While motorists anticipate the elimination of some petroleum taxes to help alleviate the country’s persistent rise in fuel prices, traders, among others, are urging the government to outline adequate strategies to combat unemployment.
Several requests have already been made on the government, including demands for a rescue package for unhappy Menzgold consumers in the budget.
