Despite threats on some of our guys, we remain committed to our mission – Ghana Police

Despite an increase in incidences of police officers being attacked in the line of duty, the Ghana Police Service has stated that its personnel will remain loyal to their job.
The remarks were given during a ceremony at the Nyamebekyere Police Station in the Berekum District of the Bono Region to receive the lifeless remains of an officer who was stabbed to death by a suspect.
According to the police report, the culprit, Yaw Peprah, stabbed the officer, Sergeant Bright Annobil, in the neck when he arrived at the station after being apprehended.
Later, the officer died in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the suspect was murdered after attempting to hurt officers who were assigned to apprehend him.
Following the occurrence, ACP Kwesi Ofori, Director-General of Police Public Affairs, addressed the media and advised residents against hurting police officers, stating that if they are caught, the law will not spare them.

“You have the cops on your side.” They are responsible for preventing crime as well as ensuring peace and security. As a result, we must be treated with the dignity that we deserve. Because we’re only working for you, there’s no reason to harm us.”

Despite recent attacks on some of our soldiers, we remain committed to our legitimate law enforcement job.
” We will not be deterred in the least.” We will complete our mission, even if it means putting our lives in danger.”
