Lawyers for Galamsey queen Aisha Huang and three others were disappointed when the Circuit Court in Accra trying their clients threw off again their application for bail and remanded them into prisons custody.

Aisha Huang and her three accomplices were appearing the third time in the Court presided over by His Honor Samuel Bright Acquah, with repeated applications for bail, in a trial of the accused persons for engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals and mining without licenses, contrary to respective laws.

They have pleaded not guilty to the charges and were remanded into custody.

The first accused person is En Huang also known as Huang Ruixia, and known in public domain as Aisha Huang is popular for being notorious in the engagement in large scale illegal mining (Galamsey) across the country. She was arrested for similar crimes in 2018 and the Attorney General, during her trial then entered a nolle prosequi in her case and recommended deportation for her, which was granted.

She however reappeared in the country to continue in the same practice under bizarre circumstances, leaving many observers wondering if she was indeed deported in the earlier instance.
