The New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) with equal seats in the House have so far failed to attain a clear majority in Parliament after the December 7, election.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has applaud the 7th parliament for staying busy in the four-year term describing it as the busiest and most productive in the history of Ghana.
The current parliament that expires in less than 48 hours can boast of the passage of some 15 pieces of legislative instruments, President Akufo-Addo said.
“In many ways, you have helped transform Ghana and you have every right collectively to be proud of the work you’ve done” he said.
