Former Karela United and Asante Kotoko Striker William Opoku Mensah is elated after making his unofficial debut for Rwandan top-flight side Mukura Victory.
Opoku Mensah who was signed in midweek featured for the second team of the Southern Province based club in a friendly game at the Kigali Stadium on Wednesday against Armée Patriotique Rwandaise (APR).
Despite Mukura Victory being annihilated by four goals to nothing, Opoku was one of the brightest spots as he tormented the APR FC back four throughout the game.
”It was a good exercise for us and I am particularly happy to make my debut. I had a good game and the board commended me afterwards. ”Opoku told Rwandareport.com
“I am looking up to the league game on Saturday and I hope to mark it with a win.”
Mukura Victory will welcome Sunrise FC to Stade Huye on Saturday for Matchday – 1 of the Rwandan Premier League.
