Milan had a chance to win the game in the dying minutes, but Juve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny saved Pierre Kalulu with a superb point-blank stop.
Juventus, still reeling from Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Manchester United, are in 18th place with just two points from four games, with just Cagliari and Salernitana keeping them afloat.
Milan dropped their first league points of the season, missing both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud.

They will, however, be relieved not to have lost consecutive games after losing to Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek.
Verona rallied from behind to earn new coach Igor Tudor a 3-2 victory on his debut, giving Roma their first points in Serie A under Jose Mourinho.

In the pouring rain, Lorenzo Pellegrini’s beautiful backheel flick gave Roma a halftime lead as they sought a fourth consecutive win to open the season.
Soon after the break, Verona’s Antonin Barak equalized, and five minutes later, Gianluca Caprari put the hosts ahead with a perfect finish.

Before the hour, Ivan Ilic diverted a Pellegrini cross into his own goal to draw Roma level, but Davide Faraoni’s spectacular volley won the win for Verona, ending a run of three consecutive defeats.
Mourinho told DAZN, “I understood their qualities even before the change in coach.”

“They’d already caused significant difficulties for their opponents. And it’s not uncommon for a mental reaction to occur when a coach changes.”
“There’s nothing to criticize about the guys’ demeanor. However, we did not adjust effectively to their style of play, and we lost individual battles to them “Added he.
Lazio, Roma’s city rivals, were held to a 2-2 draw against Cagliari thanks to a late goal from Danilo Cataldi.

Ciro Immobile scored his sixth goal in four games as Lazio took the lead just before halftime.
At the start of the second half, Lazio were pegged back by Joao Pedro’s looping header, but Cagliari went ahead thanks to Keita Balde’s goal against his former team.
But the Sardinian club couldn’t cling on for a win in Walter Mazzarri’s debut game in command, as Cataldi rescued Lazio with a goal from the top corner seven minutes from time.
The first Serie A home match for Venezia since the 2001-02 season ended in a humiliating 2-1 defeat to Spezia.

Spezia took an early lead in the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, an intriguing venue on the south-eastern corner of Venice’s major lagoon, thanks to a fantastic effort from Simone Bastoni.
On the hour, Pietro Ceccaroni equalized for Venezia, but Mehdi Bourabia’s spectacular injury-time strike from distance gave Thiago Motta’s Spezia their first victory.
