Paa Kwesi Fabin retains Black Meteors Head Coach, Yussif Basigi as Assistant Coach & Others

Samuel Kwasi Fabin has retained his role as Ghana’s Olympic team coach.

The former Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars gaffer is expected to lead the team to the 2023 All Africa Games to be hosted in Ghana.

Fabin has been in charge of the team since 2019. He previously coached the country’s Under-17 male team, the Black Starlets.

He will be assisted by former Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi – who has replaced Akakpo Patron.

Asante Kotoko legend Godwin Ablordey has been drafted in as one of the two assistants to work under Fabin.

Executive Council Member Frederick Acheampong has retained his position as Chairman of the Black Meteors Management Committee.

The former AshantiGold SC CEO, will lead Ghana’s African Games campaign and also ensure that the national Olympic team qualifies for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Executive Council member, Samuel Anim Addo has also been named on the Committee as Vice Chairman. They need to device means to ensure that Ghana play host to the rest of Africa and wins the African Games trophy.
