The transfer ban imposed on Asante Kotoko has been lifted.

Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association have overturned an earlier ban placed on Asante Kotoko to not sign players for the next one year by the Players Status Committee. The transfer ban has been overturned but the payment of outstanding salaries and signing on fees for the four players were upheld. This means Kotoko can now beef up their squad in the second transfer window which is currently open.  Abass Mohammed, Mathew Kelvin Andoh, Stephen Tetteh Ayiku and Evans Owusu petitioned the Players status Committee on the Club’s unilateral termination of their contracts and won at the Player Status Committee level, which resulted in the ban.
