Elections in 2024: The NDC will accept defeat before the EC announces the results – Abronye DC

Kwame Baffoe, Abronye DC, Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the National Democratic Congress will withdraw from the 2024 general elections before the Electoral Commission declares the results.
People would be surprised, he said, if residents turned out in large numbers merely to vote against the NDC.

“The NDC will lift their hands in despair and declare, ‘Based on the findings from the polling centers, we are withdrawing.’ On Thursday, February 17, he indicated on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo Morning Show that they would accept loss even before the Electoral Commission declared the results and the winner.
When asked by what margin the NPP would win, he said, “NPP by a wide margin.”
He backed up his claim that the NPP is winning elections by citing figures showing that the NDC has never won an election with more than 51% of the vote since 2000, while the NPP has won with more than 51%.
According to Abronye DC, the following statistics indicate that the NDC lacks numbers, whilst the NPP enjoys widespread public support, necessitating the need to capitalize on this for victory in 2024.

Further on elections, he stated that in 2008, fuel prices were at the forefront of political debates as the two major parties battled it out with measures aimed at wooing Ghanaians.

He mentioned that the NPP promised to lower fuel prices after a previous cut.
As a result, the NPP regional chair warned Ghanaians that if ex-president John Mahama promises them lower fuel prices, it’s a “419 fraud.”
