Ghana’s COVID-19 immunization program resumes today, with AstraZeneca vaccines administered at sites around the country.
This part of the experiment is available to the general public, with a focus on those aged 18 and up who have never had a vaccination or have only had one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

When visiting any approved immunization center within their respective zones, all eligible people are also encouraged to bring a valid Photo ID card.

“Persons due for the AstraZeneca second dosage should ideally provide the ID card presented for the first dose as well as their COVID-19 immunization card,” the Ghana Health Service stated in a statement.

“The Ghana Health Service’s Regional Health Directorates will give more information on immunization and designated sites in their respective areas.”

Since March 2021, when Ghana began its vaccination rollout, over one million people have gotten at least one dose of AstraZeneca, Sputnik-V, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, with almost 800,000 of them being completely vaccinated, according to the statement.
