Kumasi: Pharmacist of Gilant Chemist Ltd Survives Gun Shot By Robbers

Aaron Ohene Agyei, the Chief Executive Officer of Gilat Chemists Limited, protected himself from being killed by gunmen who looted his pharmacy in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

According to a story observed by GhanaWeb on myjoyonline.com, the pharmacist managed to drive for around four kilometers while bleeding to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) before being shot.

According to the allegation, after storming Mr. Agyei’s pharmacy in Agric-Kromoase, Kumasi, the thieves saw the victim in his car beside the business, attempting to flee the situation. According to the report, a gunman shot the pharmacist and then proceeded to deflate his tyres with another shot.

While bleeding and in pain, the pharmacist drove from Kromoase to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Emergency Unit to seek medical help.

The heist in Kumasi follows on the heels of several attacks on pharmacies in Accra, Ghana’s capital.

Meanwhile, the police have yet to issue a formal comment on the event in Kumasi.
