Kelly allegedly sexually abused Aaliyah when she was 13 or 14 years old, according to one of his former backup dancers.
‘Angela’, as she was known in court, claimed that she had witnessed Mr Kelly execute a sexual act on Aaliyah aboard a tour van.
They say that happened one year before Kelly married her illegally, when she was 15.
As for Mr Kelly’s 54-year-old self, he rejects all of the accusations.
Included in this is one count of racketeering, which depicts him as the mastermind behind an illegal organization with the specific aim of “preying on women and minors” for sexual purposes.
She testified on the 15th day of the case in Brooklyn. She was the tenth accuser to testify, and her account of sexual assault of minors resembled that of many of the other witnesses before her in the case.
It was in 1991, while she was still in high school, that she began having sex with Mr Kelly.
When she was approximately 15 years old, they met at a party at his place and have been together ever since. It was at one time that she was requested to “jump on top of him” in a bedroom, she alleged. She hesitated, but told the court that she eventually gave in to his demands and that they had sexual relations as a result of it.
Almost immediately she was approached by Mr. Kelly to join his traveling band. “The star would urge others to have sexual relations with him, and penalize those who didn’t,” she alleged.
As part of an official court commission, an artist produced an image of the former dancer.
Angela said in court that she and another young girl decided to play a prank on Mr. Kelly in 1992 or 1993, and that they did it with the help of another young woman.
